Twenty-two years ago Rose cleared her kitchen table, pulled out her mother's sewing machine, and we started cutting into a pile of cotton scraps neither of us could throw out. It was meant to be a Sunday hobby. It became Hattie & Rose, built on late evenings and an unreasonable quantity of thread.
We are slowing down now. Fewer hours at the machines, more hours in the garden. And there is a workroom full of bags here that were made to be carried, not stored.
So every bag in the shop is 60% off, and the shipping is on us.
This is our way of saying thank you to every woman who has carried one of ours these twenty-two years.
Hattie & Rose
MADE BY HAND, AND WE MEAN IT
Every bag is stitched by hand. No two are exactly alike, and that is rather the point. Soft quilted cotton, straps reinforced where the weight actually sits, and prints we picked because one of them makes you smile.
We stand behind them: 30-day returns, money back, no interrogation.
